Some wedding days just glow with joy from start to finish—and Emily & Joe’s celebration at The Fairlawns was one of those unforgettable days.
The morning kicked off in the calm, elegant surroundings of The Fairlawns, where Emily, her mum, bridesmaids, and the flower girl gathered to get ready. The vibe was relaxed and happy—no stress, just smiles, soft chatter and good music. It was one of those peaceful mornings where everything just felt right.
By midday, the wedding car arrived, gleaming and ready to take the bridal party to Aldridge Parish Church. Meanwhile, I met Joe at the church, surrounded by his best man and groomsmen, all lending a hand and helping guests find their seats. There was a quiet excitement in the air, the kind that builds just before something truly special begins.
And then, the ceremony. As Emily walked down the aisle, both she and Joe couldn’t help but shed a few emotional, happy tears. It was a beautiful moment—raw, real, and full of love. The vicar led a heartfelt service, with touching readings from key members of the church that added a personal and spiritual depth to the occasion.
After the vows and a joyful exit from the church, guests made their way back to The Fairlawns for the reception. Drinks were flowing, laughter echoed through the gardens. Everyone settled in for the wedding breakfast, and grace was said by another member of the church, grounding the meal in gratitude and warmth.
Then came the speeches—oh, the speeches! The best man, father of the bride, and Joe himself delivered a perfect mix of humor, heartfelt thanks, and a few cheeky stories that had everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure.
As the evening rolled in, more guests arrived and the celebration took on a twinkling glow. Emily and Joe lit sparklers with their loved ones, creating a magical moment that felt straight out of a storybook. Then came the cake cutting and their first dance—intimate, joyful, and the perfect way to kick off a night of dancing and celebration.
